| Two scenes from old Auburn railroad depots The one on the left is the final (3rd) Auburn Depot according to Dennis Mize, grandson of R. B. Mize, final L&N Agent in Auburn. This building was built in 1897 of frame construction and had an asbestos shingle roof installed in 1915. The photo on the right could be the 2nd Auburn depot which was built after the first one was burned down during the Civil War. Dennis Mize is author of "L&N's Memphis Line" Mizebooks@hotmail.com |
